What does the military do all day?

A normal day for an active duty soldier consists of performing physical training, work within their military occupational specialty (MOS) and basic soldier skills. Physical training consists of cardiovascular exercises as well as strength training. MOS is the job a soldier performs on a daily basis.

Do soldiers have to pay to come home from deployment?

Soldiers and their loved ones are not charged money so that the Soldier can go on leave. Soldiers are not charged money for secure communications or leave.

How many hours do soldiers sleep?

6 to 7 hours

Most Soldiers report sleeping 6 to 7 hours per night, regardless of duty status. However, nearly 1 in 3 report getting less than 6 hours of sleep on weeknights/duty nights. Soldiers also report getting more sleep on weekend/non-duty nights than on weeknights/duty nights.



Can military send pictures?



With the ease of social media, in any part of the globe at any time, a Soldier, Army civilian, or family member can post pictures from a deployment or talk about an Army mission.

Can the military use WhatsApp?

Even if your military deployment agenda does not allow for daily chats or Skype conversations, a quick WhatsApp message or SMS can be enough to reassure and to help your children get a good night’s sleep when mummy or daddy are thousands of miles away.

Depending on the mission and area of deployment, most Soldiers will have the ability to send and receive telephone calls, or use an Internet videophone or teleconferencing system. Most Soldiers will also have access to their email accounts.

Do soldiers have access to their money while on deployment?

Military members can access their money from overseas. They pay bills online, buy items from websites and even arrange for car loans. If they ask you for money — even a loan, this is a scam. Needs money to come home from down range.

How hard is military life?

Military life results in uncertainty and breaks in routine, which can cause family members to experience high anxiety, depression, PTSD and long-term mental health and wellness injuries. Many spouses feel it will hurt their military partner’s chances of promotion if they would seek help for stress or depression.

How many hours do military work?

In the Army, for instance, its active duty soldiers serve 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the length of their service commitment (that’s not to say that each soldier works a 24-hour shift, just that there are always soldiers on duty).

What is a typical day in the Army?

Work from 9-11:30 lunch until 11:30-1pm work from 1-4 go home and repeat Monday through Friday for the rest of your contract not to mention going to the field deployment and every other thing they can call you back for and keep you after hours especially for details.
