Can you be too old for a mentor?
I’ve learned that you’re never too old for a new mentor, possibly even one younger than you. True career progression requires not only the ability to adapt but also a zeal for taking on new projects and challenges. With each change, you should be open to guidance and insight from up, down, and across the organization.
Why do we need mentors in life?
Mentors serve as coaches that can help you during times of change and/or transition. Mentors serve as cheerleaders, challenge you, and push you to go farther than you thought you could go! Mentors can inspire you and keep you focused. Getting a second (and sometimes more experienced) opinion is never a bad thing!

What can you learn from mentoring someone?
Mentors can develop leadership skills and gain a personal sense of satisfaction from knowing that they’ve helped someone. Mentees can expand their knowledge and skills, gain valuable advice from a more experienced person, and build their professional networks.
Does everyone need a mentor?
Everyone needs a mentor, no matter where they are in life. It doesn’t matter how old you are or whether or not you’re already where you want to be—there is always room for growth and improvement. I have several mentors who have made a tremendous impact in my life.
