Is it better to save each chapter in a separate word document or all in one document?

Depends on the length of your chapters, and on the amount of memory in your system, but generally speaking it is “better” (i.e. safer) to save each chapter as a separate file. That way you reduce the overall working load on your system, and also ensure that you don’t lose the entire project if the system does crash.

Why would a Word document need to be divided into two or more sections?
