Question mark in use with colon?
Asked by: Candy Kalokoh
Short answer: You can strike out the colon and keep the question mark. With a colon after a question mark, the tile would appear very awkward – firstly because of how the characters appear.
Can you use a semicolon after a question mark?
When someone asks two questions and uses “or” in between, there are two options: Put a comma/semicolon before the “or” that separates the two sentences and a question mark at the end; or make it into two questions.
How do you punctuate a list of questions?
A: Yes, a series of questions in the middle of a sentence, surrounded by dashes or parentheses, is punctuated in just that way. Each question begins with a lowercase letter and ends with a question mark, according to language guides.
Does the semicolon go before or after and in a list?
Semicolons separate items within a list, while a colon precedes and introduces a list.
